AIMSonScene Found “Consistent” With NIMS

(CHANDLER, AZ – June 1, 2008) -  FieldSoft, Inc., announced today that the National Incident Management System Support Center (NIMS SC) found AIMSonScene incident command system (ICS) and responder accountability software to be “consistent with the concepts and principles” of NIMS. The evaluation was conducted in February, 2008 by NIMS subject matter experts with many years of fire service, emergency management, and information technology expertise.

AIMSonScene is the faster, simpler, and easier alternative to tactical worksheets and marker boards used on incident scenes. The command post optimized software allows the incident commander (IC) and his or her staff to better focus on incident scene strategy, tactics and hazards. First responders are the ultimate beneficiaries of the more effective incident focus since the IC can better promote safety and survival through proactive – rather than reactive – incident scene management.

“The NIMS consistency finding illustrates why AIMSonScene has been interfaced or integrated with wireless accountability systems from both Motorola [Fireground Communications System] and Grace Industries [In-Command and TPASS 4 systems], CAD [computer aided dispatching] systems, and even a mobile records management system” [ZOLL Data Systems Fire RMS and Mobile Dashboard] stated FieldSoft founder Mark Bouchard upon hearing evaluation results.

The evaluation was conducted to support the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Incident Management System Integration Division, Supporting Technology Evaluation Program (STEP). STEP purpose for AIMSonScene, in addition to determination of NIMS consistency, was to ascertain software adherence to the OASIS Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) 1.1 standard. Evaluators found AIMSonScene be “compliant with all required elements of the CAP standard”. In fact, AIMSonScene received a score of 100 percent in regards to all “mandatory” CAP elements and a score of 91 percent for “optional” CAP elements.
